When it comes to dance, grooming is important! Whether it is for class or competition, teachers and adjudicators like to see a clean and uniform look throughout a group, especially when it comes to hair. Why? Less visual distractions from a dancer's form and technique; no loose hair to play with and no long hair whipping in dancer's eyes while they are turning.
One of our favourite ways to make the perfect ballet bun is using Whirl a Style or Whirl a Style Jumbo
They come in several sizes and colour options, so how do you know which one to choose? Choose the closest colour to your natural hair colour, and if you have fine hair, you can stick to the regular Whirl a Style. If you have thicker or very long hair, choose the Jumbo Whirl a style. In this video, we've used the Jumbo Medium size in Copper colour.
